In 2009, The Phoenix International Charity launched its Butterfly Tea Party initiative and raised over £136,000 for Children’s Hospices UK. The target for 2010 is £150,000. The initiative ran throughout the month of June with Traders across the country holding Butterfly Tea Parties in aid of Children’s Hospices UK.

A special website has been created for the event. Visit the Butterfly Tea Party website to find out full details of the initiative, or email Hannah.

In a separate fundraising initiative, Mike Ward, the international managing director of Phoenix Trading, took part in the Big Boss Bike Ride on 21-22 May 2010. He joined Barbara Gelb, the CEO of Children’s Hospices UK, on a two day bike ride from Helen and Douglas House in Oxford, the first ever children’s hospice in the UK, to Demelza South East London, the newest children’s hospice.

Children’s Hospices UK would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Phoenix Trading and all the Traders who have made this partnership such an amazing success!
